Tonight I went to dinner with KK.com and djbv.net. We all had the fried chicken, which was outstanding. I finished it off with some banana cream pie that was amazing.
KK was giving me grief that I never take her photo any more.

DJ BV and KK. DJ BV has a great little blog about music and what's happening music-wise in and around Chicago.

Went for a three mile run. Prior to heading out I stretched for about 15 minutes. My hamstring was a bit tight for the first mile and a half but eventually loosened up. Then, when I finished the run I stretched for another 15 minutes. Things are feeling pretty good.

Found in the unlikeliest of places, a bank parking lot...

A few inches away there was a broken whiskey bottle. Shot with my iPhone.

I forgot to spring ahead. It's 9:30 a.m. and I'm out of coffee filters. I want to walk over to the grocery store to buy coffee filters but it's raining. I really need coffee in the morning. I'm listening to Elvis Costello. I'm thinking about doing the dishes.

Today at around 4 a.m. I turned halfway to 70.

Finally made it out for a three mile run. My hamstring still feels a bit off but not horrible. It was nice to be able to run. For the majority of the run the sun was still casting some daylight glow.

"Next time you say forever, I'll punch you in the face..." So sings Neko Case on The Next Time You Say Forever. Great line, amazing album, and possibly the best album cover of the year. It's also great to hear her singing some Nilsson. Maybe this will cause a Nilsson resurgence?

It amazes me how a bit of whiskey, wine and good conversation at the end of a stressful day can help.

I keep telling myself that spring is only a few weeks away, but I'm beginning to think that warmer days will never arrive.
Tonight I watched The Cats of Mirikitani. Highly recommended! Thanks to J for sharing it with me.

Starting in late January I began to convert my CD collection to mp3s. So far I have over 120 gigabytes of music, which is 25,740 songs. According to iTunes it would take me almost 70 days to listen to all of it. I still have over 2,000 CDs left to convert. It'll probably take until May to complete the project.

I wish winter would end. Or at least I wish my leg would heal so that I could at least go for a run.
